Women Development:

49% of populations under RDF working areas are female. Wide scale between men and women regarding literacy, health care, participation in economic activities, multi-marriage possibility for male all contribute to the consequence that Bangladesh women are perhaps the most vulnerable segment of human society in the world. 9.9% of the women are in labor force (according to survey). Further, as per census revealed that female literacy rate of 5 years and above in the RDF working area is 32.42% which is much lower than the national average.

Women Violence Prevention Program:

RDF initiated a programme on ‘stop violence against women’. Necessary supports are providing to the victims in order to stop this trend case totally from the society. Similar supports are also providing to stop women trafficking so that the women can establish their rights in the society. Regular seminar, symposium, campaign, etc were also arranged.

Fish Culture Program:

To improve fish cultivation and to ensure the supply of protein RDF initiated to undertake fish cultivation program in the project area. For this purpose, RDF providing extension services to the farmers and organized 2 ponds brought under intensive cultivation by the beneficiaries as the demonstration pond.

Tree Plantation Program:

To increase the natural wealth and to bring ecological balance RDF has taken up tree plantation program in the project areas. RDF supplied 4,000 timber plants and fruit saplings to the beneficiaries with bamboo gabion and poles to plant road sides and their house around and also to schools.

Student Assistance Program:

RDF has initiated a program to help the poor and meritorious students, living in the project catchment areas. RDF provided usually provides financial and referral support to the poor and meritorious students. Students are assistance program has been appreciated by the community people.  

Governance Program:

Ensuring local governance through deploying community level monitoring oversights is the vital issue for human rights. RDF initiated the community level monitoring oversights at Union Parishad and in the Upazila level for good governance. Orientation trainings were provided to the elected representatives of local government institutions (LGIs) in order to establish the good governance in the development planning and administration.

Linkage Development and Referral Program:

To combat the wider need of the organization and its affiliated development partners, RDF has developed a collaborative relation with various national, local and international public and private entities. Under this program, the Government resources are being availed at the need of the community people and/or organization itself. By this time, numbers of patient are referred to the specialized hospital who got treatment and came back in the mainstream of their normal life. Similar way, RDF providing human rights support to the victims, deprived on their right full entitlements.

Additionally, RDF availed various hardware and software support from the Government and which being utilized for overall development of the mass people. Not only that, the office bearers of the RDF, supported in many aspects of the society through linkage and referral service, maintaining with elected representatives mainly the honorable Minister as well as the Member of the Parliament, Upazila Chairman, UP Chairman and Members.  

Agriculture Program:

In order to improve agriculture production and to introduce modern agricultural system RDF has taken up this program. RDF volunteers and workers are giving informal education to the landless and marginal farmers on organic food production. The farmers are using their gain knowledge and skills in the cultivation and getting good production from their fields. RDF provided 2 shallow tube wells for mini-block cultivation.
