To improve the health and hygienic condition of the community people RDF has taken up primary preventive health care, nutrition education and family welfare program for the targeted people and to provide primary health education about the above mentioned programs. RDF also stepped up programs through motivation and linkage with appropriate specialized organization for remedial treatment. RDF provided high protein biscuits to the children of numbers schools and treatment facilities to helpless patients with necessary medicine. RDF also organized two eye-camps for 9 days long, where 1,184 patients were got primary treatment and 106 patients were got eye-operation facilities.
To improve the supply of pure drinking water and sanitation in the project area 45 hand tube wells were provided by RDF to the beneficiaries on free of cost. By this time about 230 nos. latrine set were supplied to the targeted people. Steps have taken to install more arsenic free tube well and also latrines. Tube wells were mainly installed in the unnerved and underserved areas. It can be mentioned here that for each tube well a caretaker has been trained and they have been equipped with maintenance tool box.
